Biber Mystery Sonatas

The Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mystery Concerts

Join Donovan Seidle (violin), David Morrissey (cello), Kat Hammer (guitar/theorbo) and Justin Luchinski (organ/harpsichord) as they present three concerts of Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber's monolithic work, The Mystery Sonatas (1676).

This set of violin sonatas is one of the most stunning devotional works of the German High Baroque, and is divided into three sets:  the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries, and has the amazing challenge of a different violin tuning convention for each sonata.

Enjoy these three concerts by donation until the end of January 2021.
