Young Artists Debut Concert

Calgary Pro Musica is delighted to present four young Calgary musicians in Dick Matthews Young Artists Development Program Debut Concert on Sunday, 18 April 2021 at 7:00 PM MDT. Hear Calgary’s finest young talent showcased in this special event concert. 

This event falls under the youth development category of activities permitted by Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Government.

Established in 2009, Calgary Pro Musica’s Young Artists Development Program (YADP) is intended to discover, nurture and promote young Calgary musicians. Participants in the YADP receive exclusive instruction from Pro Musica’s visiting artists, are presented in a fully sponsored and publicized concert, perform a series of school concerts, and receive scholarship support and career development instruction. The project also allows Calgary Pro Musica to continue training the YADP participants to be artist and teachers. 2020-21 season participants are; Fiona Marchetto and Anastasia Salazar (violins), Nikolai Nesterov (piano), and Sabina Sandvoss (cello). 

The programme includes music by Dvorak, Liszt, Chopin, Lalo, Prokofiev, Mozart, and Brahms.

This concert is FREE and the livestream link will be available online through www.calgarypromusica.ca. The concert will be streamed live at 7:00 PM MDT on Sunday, 18 April 2021, and then be posted for one week to be accessed afterwards. The livestream will be hosted by Stagestream Live.
