A Classical Gala Concert with Contemporary Dancers

If there is one universal truth in life, it is that love conquers all. A group of Calgary’s top Classical musicians and contemporary dancers will take you on a musical and visual journey of love, all the way to the stars and back!

To the Stars and Back features:

Paul Grindlay, bass
Rolf Bertsch, piano
Cody Obst, piano

This concert features the beautiful “New Love Song Waltzes” set by Brahms in 1874 and a sparkling, two-piano version of movements from Holst’s “The Planets” enhanced with contemporary dance. Also on the programme are music by Vaughan Williams, Respighi, Samuel Barber, Schubert, and Leonard Bernstein.

Please note that masks will be required, double vaccination is highly recommended, and one seat on either side of each party will be blocked off and left empty to ensure extra distance between audience members.
