Ein Liederabend: An Evening of German Art Song

Soprano Kathleen Morrison and pianist Carlos Foggin bring their artistry and talent to a Ein Liederabend: An Evening of German Art Song. Presented by Rise Up! Weekends, the captivating duo will perform on November 24th, 2021 at 7:30 pm in The Pioneer on 8th. The concert will feature art songs from famous composers including Schubert, R. Strauss, Schumann, Korngold and Mendelssohn. The pair will describe what to listen for, synopses, and personal anecdotes from their numerous performances. “Kathleen & Carlos share such a love and respect for this art form, and are so in sync during their performances. The pair have performed together numerous times, including orchestral concerts with the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra, during 2 performances of Verdi’s La Traviata, recorded live streams, and intimate performances. Kathleen has a professional opera singer whose career has taken her all over the world, including a Liederabend concert tour of numerous castles in Germany. Carlos is the artistic director and conductor of the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra, and is a highly sought after collaborator in Canada.
