Violin with Piano

Anna and Daiga Stube are a mother-daughter duo based in Calgary, Alberta. As a young violinist Anna has performed internationally in countries including the United States, Canada, Israel, Poland, Germany, and England. Anna has been performing with her mom Daiga, whose rich musical background in Latvia inspired her continued passion for piano performance and education in Calgary, for over 5 years with acclaimed solo recitals. This program will feature works highlighting the cherished cultural traditions binding our society such as the rhythmic intrigue of Brahms’ Hungarian Dances and the flair of Monti’s famous gypsy showpiece Czardas, interlaced with the intimate setting of lyrical compositions by Kreisler and Elgar.
