Alberta Winds: NIPPON Rhapsody

Alberta Winds and Gareth Jones return to action to showcase the wonderful world of wind music from Japan.

Japan has a deep wind band culture, with many students, ensembles and composers, all often unknown in North America.

Gareth Jones conducts the ALBERTA WINDS in a specially designed concert showcasing this wonderful musical legacy.

Yasuhide Ito's masterwork "GLORIOSA" forms the centerpiece of the program.
