Rising Stars

Meet the winners of the 2023 Rotary Calgary Concerto Competition (C3)! This ever-popular concert provides the young artists an opportunity to perform with the orchestra and for our audiences to hear some of Calgary’s most promising next generation of brilliant performers!

Join us and support these wonderful and inspiring young artists! This year's winners are:

Jacob Cai, piano - Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, 1st mvmt
Sofia Fakeley, cello - Hungarian Rhapsody by Popper
Laec Lorentzen, cello - Dvorak Cello Concerto, 1st mvmt
Robert Mulchrone, violin - Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, 1st mvmt

The programme also includes Rozsa Overture by Calgary composer Arthur Bachmann.
