Calgary Civic Symphony

Concert for Humanity

In Collaboration with the Ukrainian Community of Alberta

"War is Hell." This famous quote is part of the motivation for this concert. While war may occur on the other side of the world, it touches all humanity and, as such, makes victims of us all. This is the subject of John Estacio's powerful work, Victims of Us All.

In this profoundly collaborative, community-driven afternoon, outstanding Ukrainian and Canadian artists will also showcase haunting selections of Ukrainian repertoire and join forces in Beethoven's 9th Symphony, a monumental work of hope and unbreakable unity.

PROGRAMME:
Across the Steppe (Pashkevych)
Holy Mary, Mother of God (Hnatyshyn)
