A Quiet Brass Christmas

A (mostly) Quiet Brass Christmas, five hundred years of melody!    

Many of Foothills Brass's seasonal favourites are gentle tunes that ring effortlessly in the fine acoustics of Scarboro United Church. Kat Hammer join this concert  on guitar and its Renaissance cousins - the lute and theorbo.


Foothills Brass will ramble from the plain chant of O Come Emmanuel to Silent Night and the Appalachians’ I Wonder As I Wander, to quietly jazzy versions of Winter Wonderland and O Christmas Tree. There will be plenty of familiar carols - plus they will take requests! Audiences are also welcomed to sing along or quietly hum!
