Birthday Bash! Bruckner + Louie

Join Rune Bergmann and the Calgary Phil as they salute Canadian composer Alexina Louie on her 75th year, with a performance of The Eternal Earth — her “plea for the continuation of life on earth and a celebration of the joys of the universe.” Commemorating the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Orchestra also plays Anton Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony — a pilgrim’s adventure from confidence and passion through struggle to triumph.
