We are looking forward to "getting together" with you and putting a little Handel's Messiah into our holiday! While we can’t be together physically, we hope you'll join us at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 20th so we can be singing along together, from afar.
Link to Handel's Messiah
The link for this performance is being provided by the kind people at Early Music Seattle. It features the Byrd Ensemble, a choir directed by Markdavin Obenza, with Alexander Weimann (Music Director) conducting the Seattle Baroque Orchestra.
We can sing along together/apart in our own cozy homes if we all click the link at right around 3:00 PM. Hook up some good speakers, turn up the volume and let's pretend we're at Knox United Church raising the rafters!
We (VoiceScapes, Early Music Voices board members and volunteers) will be ready to communicate with you on our various social media platforms to add to the live/social feeling of the event. Share your sing-along adventures with us! Was that the best you've ever sung the long run in "For Unto Us a Child is Born"? Let us know! Was that one of your favourite renditions of "O Thou that Tellest Good Tidings to Zion"? We want to hear that too!
