This Sunday, join StoryMusic, Kensington Sinfonia, and Green Fools Theatre for a unique amalgam of storytelling, chamber music and puppetry!
StoryMusic’s latest creation is a version of Little Red Riding Hood to go along with Beethoven’s dramatic String Quartet No. 11 in f minor, Op 95. Little Red Riding Hood with Beethoven features a new version of the traditional fairy tale - with a surprise ending!
Alto Julie Freedman Smith brings the story to life with her spot-on narration and singing. Julie will be accompanied by Calgary’s original chamber music ensemble Kensington Sinfonia, with puppetry by Green Fools Theatre. This story was first available by video in January 2021 as a Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Education Concert.
Be a part of this one-of-a-kind, engaging experience. The show is most suited to elementary school-aged children, but is created for all to enjoy.
This approximately 55-minute concert will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Central Library Performance Hall (800 3 Street SE, Calgary).
Tickets are $10, but to make the event accessible and affordable to all, audience members can use promo codes for either 50% or 100% off to create a pricing that works for them. Ticket fees help StoryMusic cover unexpected costs and future programs. For tickets or more information, visit eventbrite.ca.
