A Musical Celebration of Our Planet’s Beauty

On Sunday, March 3, Spiritus Chamber Choir invites you to join a musical journey celebrating their profound connection to the planet we call home. The concert promises an afternoon of choral programme that mirror the world's awakening and honour the Earth as our sacred abode.

Titled "Of the Earth", this concert will transport audiences to a realm where the music itself becomes a vessel for witnessing nature's miraculous rebirth. Through a harmonious blend of melodies, audiences will forge a deeper connection to the planet's heartbeat, finding solace and inspiration in the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world.

"We are thrilled to present 'Of the Earth,' a musical celebration that aims to uplift and inspire through the universal language of music," says Andrea Ciona, Spiritus Chamber Choir’s Artistic Director. "In a time where our planet faces significant challenges, this event serves as a reminder of the profound connection we share with nature and the importance of nurturing and preserving our environment."

The programme features selections from “The Lost Birds” by Christopher Tin, “Earth Song” by Frank Ticheli, “Lunar Lullaby” by Jacob Narverud, "Journey Song" by Mari Alice Conrad, and more.

Don't miss an experience that promises to uplift the spirit and deepen our appreciation for the natural world.

"Of the Earth" takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Knox Untied Church (506 4 Street SW, Calgary).
