At the core of this concert series is a spirit of collaboration, bringing together the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal Conservatory. Through this partnership, the concert highlights the collective effort of institutions dedicated to nurturing and promoting emerging talent within the Calgary community.

This year's lineup features four outstanding soloists, each selected for their exceptional skill and artistry. Representing the University of Calgary's SCPA are Nikolai Nesterov and Dakota Perez, who will perform Brahms and Grieg piano concertos (first movement), respectively. Joining them from Mount Royal University Conservatory are Holly Parker and Sonja Sward, showcasing their talents on violin and French horn with works by Lalo (first and fourth movements) and Gordon Jacob (first movement).

The concert will feature conductor Edmond Agopian, whose skill and leadership are poised to take the performances to new levels of excellence. Following the concert, the soloists will receive valuable feedback and mentorship from orchestra musicians and the Calgary Phil Artistic Director, further enhancing their development as artists.

The RBC Foundation / Calgary Phil Concerto Concert continues to serve as a beacon for emerging talent, fostering a love for music and inspiring future generations of musicians in the Calgary community and beyond. Join the young soloists for an evening of captivating performances and artistic excellence.

The concert will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at Eckhard-Gramatte Hall, Rozsa Centre at the University of Calgary.
